If you opened up shop, and your shelves were empty, how long would you remain open? So if you started an online business, but did no advertising, or promoting, or content creation, and there is no stock on your cyber-shelves, how is this any different?

Why would you expect to make money, when you are offering nothing of value? The analogy is serious reminder I share with anyone who doesn't want to work, or with people who wonder why they are struggling.

Thanks for sharing Al.

Ryan

Re: Excusitis – The Failure Disease!

the book the magic of thinking big speaks in depth on this and how having excuses do not help you or your situation

Re: Does a Home Based Business = Time and Money Freedom?

you have to lead by example, which means you have to be able to have a business that is profitable and them you can teach others

Re: Does a Home Based Business = Time and Money Freedom?

To be able to succeed in business, one must know how to become a leader of him/her self and have a clear goal to achieve success.

Re: Excusitis – The Failure Disease!

Nice!
Stop making excuses and just take action!!!
The first step is to realize you have a problem.
The next step is to make a decision to change your
situation.
If you want to see different results, YOU MUST DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

Re: Why I Choose Sisel International…

Thanks for sharing with us Al. As you note, the lottery mentality ain't gonna cut it.

This takes intelligent, persistent work, but networking is a fun way to prosper online. Really, it's simply providing value with blog posts, videos, articles, or other mediums, to a targeted market, and making meaningful connections.

Do this each day and you can have success, but you need to show up each day for good things to flow your way.

Thanks for sharing Al!

Ryan

Re: Robert Kiyosaki and Network Marketing

Hi Al,

Rob is the guy to listen to when it comes to making dough, and networking, that is for sure ;)

Thanks for sharing with us!

Ryan

Re: Is a Home Based Business Right for YOU?

i think home base business is not for every one many cannot take the rejection and many do not want to go out of their comfort zones to make things happen

Re: Can Real Estate Agents Learn Network Marketing?

Everyone can learn if they take action and just go for it! I am heavily involved in VMG and look mostly for marketing advice from you and several others on FB. Your blog is on target with information overload causing confusion sometimes I have to slow down just to absorb it all. I belong to several social network groups, some are good and some have sleazy people wanting to hook up. My reason for belonging is to share marketing and advertising tips along with making friends. I crave information that will help me be successful in finding quality partners and helping them succeed also. Your blog is very good and you seem like a genuine family man with honest goals. These qualities are valuable in good leadership. Simplicity is good when dealing with people of different levels of education and nationalities. I like what you post and will continue to enjoy following you on FB.

Re: Self-Coaching for Your Home Based Business…

HI Al!
You may want to be careful...
Does this look familiar...
http://thenichereport.com/b...

Re: Self-Coaching for Your Home Based Business…

GREAT piece of advice Coach Al Rod!

NOBODY will ever care as much about your
desired outcomes than YOU!

So "SELF COACHING" is MANDATORY!
WHO better knows you?
Who better understands the true you...

Your strengths AND weaknesses and how
we much all confront and learn new skills...

WE can not hide from our SELVES...

Being your own true coach to success
is the BEST thing you can do... always
look to you and the inside... and that way
your outside coaches and systems and tools
can COMPLIMENT your activities but YOU
are driving YOU.

Excellent article man!!

Franco

Re: If not now; then when?

Nice article Al-it's funny i used almost the same line in my latest Blog 10 mins ago "if not now, when?' kinda spooky-LOL Cheers kiaran http://obepro2010.blogspot.com

Re: What Defines a Real Network Marketer?

A real Network Marketer also knows network marketing is more about relationships than the product or comp plan, about 80 percent relationship to 20 percent company.
Fail to build your relationships and your people will disappear into the night

Re: What Defines a Real Network Marketer?

Re: The 17 Principles of Personal Achievement

# 1 is the most important, because unless you know exactly what you want how are you suppose to get it.

it's like jumping in a car and driving with no destination in mind, how will you know when you are where you want to be.
